Biography
I have been taking photographs of gardens for publication since 1999. I am a member of the Gardens Writers Guild and am the only photographer member of the Guild who also has a garden (Veddw House Garden) which is open regularly to the public. The garden has a national reputation and is included in most Garden Guides published in the UK. From 2005 the garden will be an RHS Partnership Garden.
I photograph gardens and nurseries for articles in magazines and newspapers. My work has appeared in many gardening and lifestyle magazines. I have also contributed pictures to several books. Most recently 28 pictures including the front cover in “Garten-Zeiten’ (”Views”) by Somerset based Heidi Howcroft and I will be making a major contribution to her next books on Paths and flower gardens.
I won second prize in the Royal Horticultural Society’s Photographic competition in 2002 for a photograph of the innovative ”Reflecting Pool” at our garden. This striking feature also appeared in Diamuid Gavins latest book “Design Your Garden”. Garden World Images represents my stock pictures of plants, flowers and garden features. I also won a prize in the 2004 RHS photographic competition and in the Historic Gardens Foundation competition.
I am an inspector for the Good Gardens Guide and am married to garden writer Anne Wareham who writes the articles about most of the gardens that I photograph.
